Interview

Please give us a brief introduction to your company.

Our company was founded in 1970 as “Kitchen Kuni” by our representative, Kunio Ichinose. Today, we primarily operate the restaurant chain “Pepper Lunch,” along with other establishments such as “Sumiyaki Steak Kuni” and “Kodawari Tonkatsu Katsuki-tei.” Recently, we have been accelerating the expansion of “Ikinari! Steak,” a standing-style steak restaurant offering high-quality steaks.

What led you to implement GulfNet’s system?

Until a few years ago, we had been using systems provided by a major vendor. However, about five years had passed since its implementation, and we felt it was time for a replacement. That was when we received a proposal from GulfNet.

We had previously been in contact with GulfNet, but the real turning point came when we met one of their executives at an association meeting. They approached us, saying, “It seems like it’s about time for a system renewal. We would love to make a proposal.”

At that time, we were already considering replacing our core system and had been evaluating products from other companies. Initially, we asked GulfNet to propose a groupware solution. However, as we continued discussions, we realized that we could also entrust them with our core system. Looking back, GulfNet’s proactive approach had already begun at that stage.

You must have considered many systems. Why did you choose GulfNet’s system?

Of course, the timing was favorable, but our primary focus was on reducing costs while maintaining the same level of functionality as our existing system. Additionally, GulfNet’s flexibility and speed, which large vendors often lack, were key deciding factors.

What are your thoughts after implementing GulfNet’s system?

First of all, costs have been reduced, while functionality has increased. I believe this demonstrates the strong product capabilities.

During the implementation, GulfNet held weekly meetings with us, ensuring smooth communication. They also customized the system to accommodate our various business formats. As a result, we were able to complete the implementation earlier than expected, which was very satisfying.

Finally, what do you expect from GulfNet moving forward?

We hope GulfNet will continue to be a valuable partner. Not only the sales representatives but also the development team members deeply understand our company, making them an indispensable presence.

Since our company is expanding internationally, we would love to collaborate with GulfNet overseas as well.

That concludes the interview. Thank you very much.

Thank you.

Implementation Effects

  • Time and Attendance Management System (Gulf CSM Time and Attendance Management)
We have received feedback from on-site staff that the system is easier to use. Additionally, we directly incorporate requests from our HR team and request customizations accordingly. We look forward to seeing the system evolve to better suit our needs.
  • Help Desk (ICT Concierge)
The help desk has significantly reduced our workload, for which we are very grateful. Previously, with our former vendor, our IT department had to consolidate all requests before communicating with the service representative, which caused delays and required significant effort.
  • Groupware
We had been considering implementing groupware for some time. However, our previous vendors had security concerns, preventing us from using an internet-based solution. Now, we can communicate smoothly across all departments, and we are very satisfied.
